QEMM?

Welcome to our quiz, ¿Quien es más macho?
Our contestants today (as usual I won't reveal who's who to ensure your objectivity):

  1. Sweaty middle-aged guy jogging slowly down sidewalk one balmy summer evening, with an odd, stiff semi-rotation along his vertical axis with each step.
  2. Second middle-aged guy in a black suit standing on a street corner one balmy summer evening after his cello recital, eating ice-cream cones with three schoolgirls and watching contestant #1 jog past.

¡Yo soy más macho!

If you answered #2, you win. Yo soy más macho porque the meaning of life is más macho and maybe I don't know what it is, but I bet it has more to do with eating ice cream with girls on a warm summer evening than it does with forcing yourself to run around when you're obviously not enjoying it.

(Also? There's a new gelateria here in Berkeley. Not as good as That One You Took Us To in Vienna, but pretty intense all the same. The pistachio is full of, and tastes just like, pistachios. Too thick and heavy though. I miss Viennese ice cream.)

Weird, Jessica: I was eating pistachio ice cream! And it was excellent too! So was Beta, BTW. We just discovered that a local gelateria makes very good pistachio, see. Also, I had "cookies" and "stracciatella" flavors, which were also very fine. Gamma had chocolate, which was heavenly - very chocolaty (she generously gave me a taste, although she wasn't interested in my pistachio).

The trick is to get 1/2 pistachio and 1/2 chocolate. Buthave them put the chocolate on top, because it melts faster. Mm....
