My dad's in poor health. I called him at the hospital last night and tried to cheer him up:
Hang in there, mig- this must be even tougher on you and your family given the distance factor...
Posted by: chris at December 3, 2004 05:55 AMI feel sorry for the guy. Today's his birthday. I mean, I feel sorry for anyone who has their birthday in December, cause people tend to combine their presents with their Christmas presents, which is a ripoff; but combined with everything else... He has a great sense of humor, but that only gets you so far.
Posted by: mig at December 3, 2004 06:37 AMThen make sure to send him two separate presents this year. And don't use Christmas-themed wrapping paper on the birthday present either.
Sorry to hear this, mig. Best wishes.

Posted by: Jessica at December 6, 2004 12:16 AMAbout the current title line of the blog. I was singing it -- I even downloaded the lyrics and sang it properly, and improperly, considering.
Take care of yourself. When you thrive, he does.
